Ok, for those who haven't heard of blender, start by scrolling to the bottom of this post and click on the link to blender3d.

its an open source software used to create 3D artwork, animations and more importantly, games! :D yes, blender does exactly what heavy duty softwares like mayaand 3d studio max do, but free of cost, and at the same quality, if not better.

i can't say enough, 'cuz you'll have to see it to believe it, and thats why, check out the link at the bottom of the post. once you get it, and if you're into 3D, you'll get hooked. and oh yea, one word of caution. when you first run it, it might be intimidating because of the barrage of menus, buttons and other likes. for that, check out the quickstart tutorials and blender3d.
